The five-day Authorized Inspector Supervisor "B" endorsement qualifies individuals for technical supervision of assigned authorized inspectors (AIs). Auditing workshops provide the opportunity for applied knowledge.
Qualified candidates must hold the "A" endorsement for two years, which necessitates working knowledge of ASME Code requirements. Although ASME Code requirements are not addressed within the "B" endorsement course, students should expect to answer specific code questions on the "B" exam.
In order to qualify for an owner-user "O" endorsement, the owner-user inspector must take the Authorized Inspector Supervisor Course, must hold his or her commission for two years, and must also meet all requirements of NB-263, Rules for Commissioned Inspectors.
