Scott Bailey Announced as General Session Speaker

The National Board announces Scott Bailey of NuScale Power will be a General Session presenter at the 87th General Meeting May 8, 2018, in Dallas, Texas. His presentation is entitled “NuScale Power: A Nuclear Manufacturing Paradigm Shift.”

Mr. Bailey is vice president of supply chain and leads all aspects of NuScale Power’s supply chain function, including internal procurement operations and strategic supply chain development. He has over 30 years of experience in power generation supply chain management and execution from supplier, utility, and consultant perspectives.

Prior to joining NuScale, Scott was the director of supply chain, nuclear generation, development and construction, for the Tennessee Valley Authority. In that capacity, he managed contracting and supply chain-related activities in support of major nuclear generation projects, such as the Watts Bar Unit 2 completion, Bellefonte Unit 1 completion, steam generator replacements, spent fuel pool re-racking, extended power uprates, and other major nuclear projects.

Bailey previously held senior supply chain management and consulting positions for NRG Energy, Sequoia Consulting Group, Pantellos, and Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company. He holds a master’s degree in business from Husson University, a bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering from Maine Maritime Academy, and is a certified manager of investment recovery.
