Donovan, Pucek Receive Honorary Member Recognition
 
Steven Donovan, former National Board member (from 1997 to 2012) representing the Northwest Territories, Canada; and Randy Pucek, former National Board member (from 1989-2012) representing Milwaukee, Wisconsin, were elected honorary members at the October 2013 Members’ Meeting and were presented with commemorative plaques at the 83rd General Meeting in Bellevue, Washington, on May 12.
 
 
Mr. Donovan has over 40 years of industry experience. In 1976, he began his career in boiler inspection when he signed on as a boiler and pressure vessel inspector for the Prince Edward Island Department of Labour, a position he held for 14 years. In 1990, he and his family relocated to the Northwest Territories where he took a position as a boiler inspector. He was promoted to chief inspector and joined the National Board in 1997. He retired in 2012.
 
 
 
  
Mr. Pucek served over 30 years in the industry. From 1974-1978 he served in the US Navy and was trained as a boiler technician. His civilian career began as a part-time boiler inspector with the city of Milwaukee. He was promoted to lead inspector and was also the city representative on the Wisconsin Boiler Code Committee. In 1986, Mr. Pucek assumed the duties of Milwaukee chief boiler inspector and was officially named to the position in 1989. He became a National Board member that same year. He retired in 2012.
