Donald Ehler is the new chief boiler inspector for the province of Nova Scotia. Mr. Ehler studied welding and welding technology at Nova Scotia Community College. His professional work experience includes working as a welder at Mulgrave Machine Works Ltd. (1986 – 1988); welder quality control inspector at Hawkesbury Submarine International (1988-1989); quality assurance inspector at Atlantic Defense Industries (1989); and quality control manager/project manager/pressure equipment designer at Mulgrave Machine Works Ltd. (1989-2006). In 2006, he joined with the province of Nova Scotia and worked as an inservice inspector, authorized inspector, AIS, and design surveyor. He was named chief in August 2017.
