A Presidential Experience

Tuesday, May 8
9:15 a.m.  –  4:30 p.m.

Politics aside, please! This Presidential Experience isn’t about blue or red states, but about the legacies of two distinct US presidents and their indelible ties to Dallas: George W. Bush and John F. Kennedy. To explore the impact of both men’s lives, guests will split into groups and alternate between two Dallas landmarks: The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum and the Sixth Floor Museum.

The George W. Bush Library is an understated, enriching experience for all political persuasions. As guests move through exhibits displayed with artifacts, documents, audiovisual, and interactive components, they will gain insight into GWB’s life, career, and key decisions he made during his presidency. Exhibits not to miss: the 360-degree, high-definition video wall in Freedom Hall; the poignant “A Nation Under Attack” retrospective of the events of September 11, 2001; the full replica Oval Office and Resolute Desk in the “Life in the White House” exhibit, and the 15-acre Native Texas Park.

The assassination of JFK has fascinated people for decades. This portion of the tour will immerse guests in the sites, people, and conspiracies surrounding the events of November 22, 1963. Included in the tour is a drive-by circuit of: the triple underpass, Oswald-Beckley boarding house, Officer J.D. Tippitt shooting site, Texas Theater, Dallas City Jail, and the John F. Kennedy Memorial. Guests will also walk through Dealy Plaza before going into the Sixth Floor Museum for an audio-guided tour of the warehouse where Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shot that killed the 35th President of the United States.

Before switching tours, guests will meet up at vibrant Mudhen Meat and Greens (voted Dallas’ best farm-to-table eatery) to share an unforgettable meal in a delightfully chic downtown venue.

Bus departs promptly at 9:15 am. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and boarding. This tour requires a moderate amount of walking. Comfortable shoes and attire are recommended.

WEDNESDAY OUTING

Fun and Games at TopGolf Dallas Plus Ultimate NB Golf Tourney!

Wednesday, May 9
9:30 a.m.  – 2:30 p.m.

Whether you’ve never swung a club or you consider yourself a ringer, TopGolf is FUN and ADDICTIVE for all skill levels. TopGolf is a new driving range concept described as a hybrid of golf, darts, and bowling. It blends athletics, technology, entertainment, chef-inspired menus, and craft drinks into a contemporary, sports-themed, good-time experience.

Players gather in climate-controlled bays and compete by hitting microchipped golf balls into a 240-yard outfield constructed with huge dartboard-like targets. The balls track each shot for accuracy and distance, and points are awarded for hitting targets. The more accurate the shot and the farther the distance, the more points are earned. Each bay comes equipped with seating for six, golf clubs, a computer, microchipped balls, and a tee box. Nine different computer-programmed golf games are available.

National Board guests will have exclusive access to the upper level deck for an afternoon of food and drinks, friendly competition, and overall open-air fun. Three golf pros will be on hand to offer instruction and assistance. The afternoon will culminate with a TopContender game for those who want a shot in the ultimate National Board golf tournament. Who will walk away with bragging rights?

Of course, there will be other enhancements for guests to enjoy, including a 1980s throwback video arcade and a photo booth with props. Guests will also have time to explore TopGolf’s onsite batting cages, three 18-hole putt-putt courses, and a variety of lawn games on the outdoor patio. There will be something for everyone to enjoy during this feel-good afternoon among friends.

Bus departs promptly at 9:30 am. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and boarding. This outdoor event requires minimal walking. Guests are encouraged to dress casually and comfortably.

NOTE: TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE TO THE FIRST 250 PARTICIPANTS.
