Michael Ryan retired as chief boiler inspector for the City of Chicago on July 31, 2021.

An NBBI member since 2004, Mr. Ryan has more than 40 years’ experience in the boiler and pressure vessel industry. Before joining the city in 1985, the Marine Corps veteran worked as an apprentice boilermaker and journeyman boilermaker.
