NBIC Committee Meeting News & New Interpretations

National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) Committee members and visitors assembled both in-person and virtually for meetings held on January 9-12, 2023. Thirteen meetings were conducted, composed of standing task groups, subgroups, subcommittees, and the NBIC Executive and Main Committees. In-person attendees met at the Francis Marion hotel in Charleston, South Carolina.

During the week, Jim Sekely was recognized for 20 years of service on the NBIC Main Committee.

Seven new interpretations of the NBIC 2021 Edition were approved and can be viewed here along with previous NBIC interpretations.

The NBIC is published every other year. The newest edition was published in July 2021 and is available for purchase here. The next edition will be available July 2023.
