Ken Hynes, former chief of the Province of Prince Edward Island (PEI), passed away Feb. 3, 2024. He was 81.

Mr. Hynes was a member from 1993-2011 and was recognized as an honorary member in 2012. He joined PEI in 1988 as a boiler inspector.

Among other jobs, Mr. Hynes was an instructor from 1975-85 at Holland College in Charlottetown, PEI.

Mr. Hynes served in the Canadian Navy from 1960-1965.
