Thomas Maher Retires as Chicago Chief

Thomas Maher retired as chief boiler inspector for the city of Chicago, effective June 30. He had been a member since 2021.

Maher has more than 20 years of experience, including previous employment as a boilermaker and blacksmith.

The Army National Guard veteran joined the city as a boiler inspector in 2005.
