Membership Service Awards

Ten National Board members were recognized with membership service awards at the National Board Members' Meeting in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Sam Chapman, Tennessee; John Sharier, Ohio; and Trevor Seime, North Dakota; are pictured with National Board Executive Director Joel Amato and Board of Trustees Chairman Chris Cantrell after receiving their five-year membership awards. 

Seven additional members (who attended through video conferencing) were also recognized: 15-year award: William McGivney, New York City; 10-year awards: Eben Creaser, Province of New Brunswick; and Cirilo Reyes, City of Los Angeles, California. Five-year awards: Aaron Lorimor, South Dakota; Donnie LeSage, Louisiana; Mark Jordan, Commonwealth of Kentucky; and Scott Lane, Alaska.

Awardees received a pin and certificate. All current National Board members are eligible to receive an award upon completion of five years as a member, and at the end of every five years thereafter.

New Advisory Committee Member

Teresa Melfi has been appointed to the National Board Advisory Committee representing the welding industry. Melfi has been employed with Lincoln Electric Company since 1982, with roles in operations, research and development, and international engineering. An active member of the global welding community, she holds more than 50 US and international welding-related patents.
