Jacques Sénéchal to Present: “The Inspection and Refurnishing of Cryogenic Vessels”

The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI) has announced Jacques Sénéchal, senior director of major investments at Air Liquide, as a General Session speaker at the 94th General Meeting on May 11 in Denver, Colorado.

Sénéchal will offer insights drawn from more than four decades of experience in engineering and project management across a wide range of industries.

Sénéchal has worked in the design, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning of hydroelectric equipment, aluminum smelters, steel mills, and industrial and medical gas systems throughout North America, Africa, and Asia. In his current role, he is responsible for developing and executing major projects for Air Liquide, including the commissioning of facilities in Canada. Most recently, he led the development and construction of a large PEM electrolysis hydrogen plant and an air gas plant in Bécancour.

Sénéchal holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, as well as master’s degrees in project management and business administration from Université du Québec à Montréal. He is a voting member of CSA B51 and CSA B52 and an active member of the Compressed Gas Association (CGA). His contributions to the field have been recognized with the Honoris Genius 2021 award for sustainable development from the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec and the CGA’s Environmental Excellence Award in 2021.
