Former Blue Angels Lead Pilot and Motivational Speaker
To Address the 86th General Meeting

The National Board is excited to announce John Foley will present the opening remarks at the 86th National Board/ASME General Meeting on May 8, 2017, at the Hilton Anchorage in Anchorage, Alaska.

John Foley is a former lead solo pilot for the Blue Angels who has taken his rare experience flying in high-stakes formations (as close as 18-inches apart from other aircrafts at speeds exceeding 500 miles per hour) to present a powerful message of trust, leadership, and thankfulness to empower people to reach their highest potential.

In 2015, Foley was recognized as one of the top 10 most in-demand speakers. He has addressed companies such as Microsoft, Intel, Mercedes-Benz, McDonalds, Merrill Lynch, Mass Mutual, and BMW.

Foley received a mechanical engineering degree from the US Naval Academy. He was a “Top Ten Carrier Pilot” six times before becoming a Marine instructor pilot and a Blue Angel. He has a master’s degree in business management from the Stanford Graduate School of Business; in international policy studies from Stanford University; and in strategic studies from the Naval War College.
