National Board Technical Scholarship


The National Board Technical Scholarship is available to the children, step-children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren of past or present National Board Commissioned Inspectors (living or deceased) and to past or present National Board employees (living or deceased).

The National Board Technical Scholarship provides financial awards to outstanding students currently enrolled full-time in a trade school, technical college, or university in the United States or Canada. Applicants must be a citizen of the U.S. or Canada and also majoring in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, industrial, welding, or chemical engineering, or other closely related engineering major.

The application period is September 1 to February 28. Following review of applications by the selection committee, recipients will be notified of their awards by the last business day of March.
