ANSI Celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the National Board
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) presented the National Board with a commemorative crystal pillar in recognition of its 100-year anniversary. In a letter addressed to National Board Executive Director David Douin, ANSI President and CEO S. Joe Bhatia shared the sentiment of its members and staff: “We congratulate you on your many outstanding contributions and thank you for your efforts in support of ANSI and the standardization community.
“ANSI proudly recognizes the National Board’s commitment to promoting safety to life and property through the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) and standardization related to the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of pressure equipment.” The NBIC has been an ANSI national standard since 1983.
