NBBI Board of Trustees Approves 2021 RCI-1, Other Program Changes

The National Board’s Board of Trustees met on July 29-30, 2020 and approved the 2021 Edition of NB-263, RCI-1, Rules for Commissioned Inspectors. Copies of the 2021 Edition of RCI-1 will be mailed to all Commissioned Inspectors in December. The 2021 Edition of RCI-1 takes effect January 1, 2021 and becomes mandatory on July 1, 2021.

The Board of Trustees also approved revisions to the following programs at their July meeting:

• NB-360, National Board Acceptance of Authorized Inspection Agencies (AIA) Accredited by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Revision 8.

• NB-369, Accreditation of Authorized Inspection Agencies (AIA) Performing Inservice Inspection Activities, Revision 9.
• NB-371, Accreditation of Owner-User Inspection Organizations (OUIO), Revision 10.
• NB-381, Quality Program for Inspection Organizations, Revision 5.
• NB-390, Accreditation of Federal Inspection Agencies (FIA), Revision 9.
• NB-264 Criteria for Registration, Revision 14.
