Mooney, Standridge to Discuss the GUS Principle

Mark Mooney is the Director of Software & Services and Lonnie Standridge is the Director of Development for the National Board’s Jurisdictional Reporting System (JRS).

During their presentation at the General Meeting on Monday, May 15, they will discuss a short series of questions, known as the GUS Principle, that has successfully guided the development of the JRS.

Mr. Mooney served as the Massachusetts chief boiler inspector for 12 years where he oversaw the commonwealth’s jurisdictional inspection and licensing program for elevators, amusement devices, boilers, and pressure vessels. He then joined Liberty Mutual where he worked with a team to build out their Equipment Breakdown division nationwide. Mr. Mooney was a former member of the National Board’s Board of Trustees from 2001 to 2009. Mooney maintains a Massachusetts 1st Class engineer’s license, along with a National Board Commission, and has held jurisdictional commissions in 35 states.

Mr. Standridge has been in the software industry for nearly 30 years and is bringing software development expertise and perspective to the JRS team. He has held a variety of roles in the software industry, including engineering, architecture, and leadership with a specialization in enterprise architecture. Mr. Standridge oversees the engineering and architecture for the development of the JRS product.
