Campbell earns award

The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI) awarded a scholarship to Evan Campbell.

Evan is in his third year at the University of Regina in Regina, Saskatchewan, studying electronic systems engineering and carries a 3.5 grade-point average. Evan has interned at the Brandt Group of Companies and the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority. He also has been an umpire for the North Regina Little League for eight years. Upon graduation, Evan would like to work in the power sector or become a network architect. His father is National Board Commissioned Inspector Rick Campbell.

NBBI offers scholarships, totaling up to $30,000, to students who meet eligibility requirements and are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering curriculum or related studies. To apply, students must be a child, stepchild, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a National Board Commissioned Inspector or NBBI employee, whether past or present, living or deceased. Applicants also must be enrolled fulltime in a trade school, technical college, or university in the United States or Canada.

The 2024 NBBI Technical Scholarship application period opens September 1, 2023, and runs through February 28, 2024. Requirements are listed within the application.
