David Peterson Announced as General Meeting Speaker
 
The National Board announces David Peterson of The Cincinnati Insurance Company will address the General Session at the 82nd General Meeting in Miami, Florida, with a presentation entitled, Anatomy of a Catastrophic Boiler Accident.
 
Mr. Peterson’s boiler and pressure vessel experience began in 1972 when he enlisted in the US Navy. He served for 20 years and retired in 1992 as a master chief boiler technician. During his 20-year naval career, 11 years were spent at assignments to ship repair facilities, such as tenders and shore intermediate maintenance activities (or “SIMAs”). 
 
In 1985, he completed formal training and qualified as a steam generating plant inspector, the Navy equivalent of a National Board Commission. Upon leaving the Navy, Mr. Peterson acquired his National Board Commission in 1993, and has worked as a boiler inspector for various insurance companies. 
 
In his current position, Mr. Peterson is a machinery and equipment specialist for The Cincinnati Insurance Company servicing clients in Northeast Ohio.
